Our Top Things to do in Cornwall in the Spring
With the days getting longer, and the sunshine getting warmer by the day, we thought we would compile a short list of our favourite things to do in Cornwall in the Spring time.
Take a Wellie Walk
Dig out those mud covered wellies last used in Autumn, and get out and about! Even though the sun is shining, the ground can be wet under foot, and who doesn’t love a good splash about in a muddy puddle! Whether you prefer to stroll on the beach, or trek the coast road, Cornwall is renowned for its pretty vistas of beaches and rolling green hills.
A Traditional Cornish Cream Tea
A longstanding tradition between Cornwall and Devon, is to bicker about which order the cream and jam go on a scone! Pull up a chair, rest your weary bones, take a sip of beautiful hot tea, and enjoy your scone the Cornish way, relaxed and with the sticky strawberry jam first and a dollop of cream on top!
Take a Ferry
Easter is the when the ferry timetables restarts for many local ferry companies, navigate the Cornish Coast by boat for a unique view of the county’s ancient landscape, littered with castles, coves and forts. If you are lucky you may see seal pups, and pods of playful dolphins.
Visit the Minack Theatre
The world famous outdoor theatre, the Minack sits perched on the high cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean, take a seat and watch the performance in the early spring sun and walk through an acre of beautiful flowering sub-tropical gardens.
