  • Falmouth is an historic port town and was once the starting point for the Packet Ships, which took mail from the UK around the world. Sited on the edge of one of the most stunning natural harbours in Europe, Falmouth’s maritime tradition continues to the present day.

    The local area of Falmouth is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful Cornish coast and is an easy drive from Cornwall’s capital city of Truro, the mystical far west of Cornwall, and many local area attractions.  There are plenty of excellent beaches nearby and outdoor activities include boat trips along the coast, sailing, kayaking, fishing, diving and walking.

    The National Maritime Museum provides activities for children whatever the weather and the popular Flambards theme park, Gweek Seal Sanctuary, and Trebah Gardens are all perfect for family days out  – and all within easy driving distance.  For those that enjoy history bought to life, Pendennis Castle sits on the headland  just a stone’s throw from the hotel and is well worth a visit.  The world famous Eden Project runs a regular programme of events and is approximately 1 hour’s drive away.  Guests of the hotel can benefit from our preferential rates and ability to queue-jump at the Eden Project.
